You describe your pickup and delivery details, and our network of qualified couriers compete to offer you the best price and service. It's like an auction for delivery services — you choose the driver and price that works best for you.

How do I post a delivery job?

Scroll down on the homepage or click 'Post a Job' and fill out the form with your pickup address, delivery address, pickup date, ready time, and contact information. You can also select a service type (standard, medical, legal, STAT/rush, or freight). Once submitted, your job is immediately visible to all available drivers in our network.

Do I need an account to post a job?

No, you can post a job without an account. However, we strongly recommend creating a free customer account so you can view bids, accept offers, track your delivery in real time, chat with your driver, and access proof of delivery. After posting a job, you'll see a prompt to sign up. If you register with the same email you used when posting, your job will automatically be linked to your new account.

How does the bidding process work?

After you post a job, drivers in our network can see it and submit bids. Each bid includes the driver's proposed price, estimated delivery time, and an optional message. You can review all bids from your customer dashboard, compare drivers based on their ratings, completed deliveries, and vehicle type, then accept the bid that works best for you.

How do I accept a bid and pay?

Log into your customer dashboard, find your marketplace order, and click 'View Bids.' Each bid shows the driver's bid amount plus a 20% service fee (the total you'll pay). Click 'Accept & Pay' on your preferred bid, and you'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page. Once payment is confirmed, your delivery is automatically dispatched and the driver is notified immediately.

What is the 20% service fee?

Bocsit charges a 20% service fee on top of the driver's bid amount. This fee covers platform operations, insurance coverage, customer support, driver vetting, background checks, and secure payment processing. For example, if a driver bids $50, your total charge will be $60 ($50 driver bid + $10 service fee). The breakdown is always shown clearly before you pay.

How do drivers get paid?

Drivers receive 100% of their bid amount (before the service fee). Once a customer pays, a payout record is created for the driver. Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect — drivers link their bank account through the driver portal, and funds are transferred according to the dispatch payout schedule (manual, end-of-day, or weekly, as configured by the admin). Drivers can view their full earnings breakdown including total job values, platform fees, and their share in the Earnings tab of their dashboard.

What types of deliveries can I post?

You can post virtually any local delivery job: standard packages, medical specimens and lab samples, legal documents (court filings, contracts), STAT/rush deliveries, and even freight or large items. Bocsit specializes in time-sensitive and high-value deliveries including medical courier services, life sciences logistics, and legal document transport nationwide.

Are the drivers vetted and verified?

Yes. All Bocsit drivers go through a multi-step verification process. Drivers must submit valid identification, a driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. They can also complete a self-service background check through our platform. Drivers are approved by our admin team before they can accept jobs. You can see each driver's rating, number of completed deliveries, and vehicle type before accepting their bid.

Can I track my delivery in real time?

Absolutely. Once your delivery is dispatched, you can track it in real time from your customer dashboard. You'll see a live status timeline (Pending → Dispatched → En Route → Picked Up → Delivered), your driver's information, estimated arrival time, and current location. You can also chat directly with your driver through the in-app messaging system.

What if I need to cancel my order?

You can cancel an order from your customer dashboard as long as it hasn't been picked up yet. Click the 'Cancel Order' button on the order and provide a reason. If payment has already been processed, contact our team for assistance with refunds. Cancellation policies may vary depending on how far along the delivery is.

How do I get a receipt for my payment?

After your payment is confirmed through Stripe, you'll receive a confirmation email with your payment details, waybill number, and a tracking link. You can also view payment information in your customer dashboard. Stripe provides a full payment receipt that you can use for expense reporting or record-keeping.

What happens if no drivers bid on my job?

If your job doesn't receive bids right away, don't worry — it stays visible to all drivers until a bid is accepted. Jobs typically receive bids quickly. You can also contact Bocsit directly at (617) 807-0411 to arrange a delivery through our traditional dispatch service.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes, all payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest level of security certification). Bocsit never stores your credit card information. The checkout process uses bank-grade encryption and fraud detection to protect every transaction.

Can I choose a specific driver for future deliveries?

Yes! After a successful delivery, you can add the driver to your favorites list from your customer dashboard. Favorite drivers are highlighted in future bids, making it easy to work with couriers you trust. You can also leave a rating and review to help other customers make informed decisions.
